Problems with table

I'm not adept at tables, so I don't now how to fix these, but I have a few comments on possible improvements. I welcome reactions.

  • The table is in roughly chronological order of acquisition. I say roughly because Israel is out of place and probably should be treated differently from the others. I recommend keeping it in chronological order as the default, but sortable on other numerical columns.
  • The table is currently sortable on all columns. That doesn't really make sense, and produces nonsensical results for the date column (alphabetical order rather than chronological). There should be a way to include dates in a sortable format.
  • What to do about Israel, for which there is no reliable date -- or even acknowledged fact -- of acquisition? There's probably no perfect solution, but my suggestion would be to list it last and to change the entry in the date column to "unknown" or "N/A" with a footnote to the currently listed citations indicating possible dates.

This is false. U.S. nuclear weapons were deployed in Canada. NPguy (talk) 20:00, 28 January 2025 (UTC)Reply

Ukraine is same case as Canada

Ukraine never had nuclear weapons. There were Russian missiles stationed there, under central Moscow control.

They were Soviet weapons. Then they were under the Commonwealth of Independent States. Ukraine was a member, but Russia was the dominant state. Ukraine had no independent control, but there is a question whether it could have asserted control. NPguy (talk) 21:21, 14 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

Fix reference for estimate of Israeli nuclear weapons as it appears ref tag has been removed in article body accidentally

Fix the first sentence of paragraph 5 to be a reference as the opening ref tag appears to have been accidentally removed two revisions ago

Change from:

States that formerly possessed nuclear weapons are South Africa, which developed nuclear weapons but then disassembled its arsenal before joining the NPT,[7] and the former Soviet republics of Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine, whose weapons were transferred to Russia.

To:

States that formerly possessed nuclear weapons are South Africa, which developed nuclear weapons but then disassembled its arsenal before joining the NPT,[7] and the former Soviet republics of Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine, whose weapons were transferred to Russia for dismantlement following the collapse of the Soviet Union.

You can also add:

Pakistan: 170 > 200?

Template:Re On 2025-04-23T01:51:52, you changed the number of nuclear weapons in Pakistan's arsenal from 170 to 200 without changing the reference cited. I do not find either number in that reference. I confirmed the quote in the citation:

Script error: No such module "citation/CS1".

Page 168 does, indeed, contain, "On such premises, Pakistan's nuclear arsenal in 2020 would consist of between 243 and 283 nuclear devices", as indicated.

I would like to understand better the foundation for the number currently in this article.

Thanks for your work on this article. DavidMCEddy (talk) 12:46, 23 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

Indians at it again

Why is it that when I hover over the notes section in the table for Pakistan Air capability missile capability system it is showing an irrelevant topic that has nothing to do with nukes? This has nothing to do with the topic, which most likely was added by an Indian. Ironman993 (talk) 08:02, 5 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

Script error: No such module "protected edit request". There seems to be vandalism on the Indian and Pakistani sections. Over the past few revisions there have been sections changed to "Hindu_terrorism" and "Pakistan and state-sponsored terrorism". My request is to change this back to factual information such as: Indian triad, linking to the correct Wikipedia article. TychoR (talk) 09:10, 5 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
