MTamashiro-66 Virus
It's been pointed out elsewhere that this virus is listed as existing in Halo, however there is no source or any reference online that this is true. Is anyone aware of the alleged book it is cited as being from? Otherwise, it should be removed. 71.182.138.20 (talk) 05:16, 7 October 2024 (UTC)
what are we to do with this article?
@SchreiberBike; @Pokelego999: How do we fix this article? I have genuinely no idea on what a coherent criteria for inclusion would look like that wouldn't include loads of excessive cruft. Should we just stub the article to only include the cited entries? ―Howard • 🌽33 20:58, 13 May 2025 (UTC)
- A ways back when I did a bunch of work on this list, I looked at Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Writing about fiction. That's the place to start. I've not got time right now. SchreiberBike | ⌨ 21:15, 13 May 2025 (UTC)
- It seems like "notability" perhaps including (almost by definition of notability) "presence in multiple media" would be coherent criteria. Most fictional diseases that occur in only one source could reasonably be described in the primary article for that source. Also, I note that "Chickenpox" is listed as a fictional disease; that is incorrect. Jaredroach (talk) 21:45, 13 May 2025 (UTC)
- I would suggest applying WP:CSC #1: Template:Tq TompaDompa (talk) 09:15, 14 May 2025 (UTC)
- That seems the most reasonable to me. ―Howard • 🌽33 10:29, 14 May 2025 (UTC)
- I went ahead and implemented that change. I left a few debatable entries. TompaDompa (talk) 10:51, 14 May 2025 (UTC)
- I have now added appropriate citations to each entry. Any new additions should likewise have citations ―Howard • 🌽33 15:56, 14 May 2025 (UTC)
