Genius

Such a shame that nobody knows about her. I feel sorry for you. Go buy her records.

D!

Don't feel sorry! It's all good! Lanie — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.203.155.171 (talk) 21:17, 2 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

I do!

Mark and Lard played Excerpts from a Love Circus when it came out and I bought it. Several of the songs are firmly lodged in my psyche - Beautiful Schizophrenic, and You're Not My Yoko Ono.

Plagiarized article

Much of this article is lifted with very little modification from MacKenzie Wilson's allmusic.com bio of Germano. Compare, for example, these first few sentences from that site with the "biography" section of this article: "Born in Mishawaka, IN, at the dawn of 1958, Germano was the middle of six kids. Her parents were teachers and musicians who encouraged their children to learn an instrument until they turned 18. At the age of seven, she wrote her first piece of music, a 15-minute opera on the piano and, in due time, Germano learned the violin, an instrument that would ultimately guide her to a professional career in music."

Do your own damned writing. 2fs (talk) 00:07, 23 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

came here to see if there was more detail around her inclusion in the lust of 'guest musicians' with maynard james keenan's side-project; nada. the page needs updates, even if it's just to include the merest hints of what she's been up to. duncanrmi (talk) 13:47, 27 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Which album?

The article says "Germano was working as a violinist when rock singer John Mellencamp invited her to play on his album." If he only made one album, that sentence would be fine, but he made a bunch, so the article really should say which album it was she first appeared on. I don't know myself, or I'd add it. PatConolly (talk) 02:46, 27 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

that's been updated/fixed per Mellencamp's article / career bio - he hired her during rehearsals for the Scarecrow tour in 1985 and she appeared on the next album in 1987. So her length of service in that band also is changed, for the record. (whoever wrote that before just extrapolated the math...) Dano67 (talk) 12:57, 9 April 2025 (UTC)Reply
