Template:Tl vs Template:Tl

There is no Template:Tl template, so making that change creates a red link from valid data. Template:Tl was included in this article because Lima merged with Baldwin. Rather than changing the template back so it prints valid data and not a red link, I've simply removed it from the article. Until someone creates Template:Tl (which I don't see happening any time soon), changing the template here only creates a red link. slambo 15:13, 3 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

I created a Template:Tl template using the existing List of Lima-Hamilton diesel locomotives, only to find out after the fact there is an identical Template:Tl template (my own fault for not researching it first). Both are limited since all the switcher links basically go to the same page (Lima 750, 800, 1000, and 1200 hp switchers). Perhaps in the future a page should be made for each switcher locomotive if there isn't one already, in either case the template links need to be changed to direct to each new page. Which ever template is decided to be used is fine with me. I won't be offended if Template:Tl gets deleted as a mistake and the other used instead. --DP67 (talk/contribs) 23:42, 14 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Lima locomotive restored by stock market trader.

Dear readers: Some 10-12 years ago I watched a t.v. program about a stock trader who restored a Lima locomotive, got his railroad engineer license, and drove that machine as a (huge kind) of hobby over some tracks with one or two classic waggons. He told the reporter he had in the run of years three wives, all of them wanting him give up his loc. He told them to go away and leave instead. He said ,,There is nothing nicer than 434 tons of living steam". The fire chamber was not fed by a fireman, but by a very long screw from the coal tender to that chamber, he explained it was done because of the huge amount of coal while driving. He said the machine had about 5000 HP. Now my question is: Does anyone of you know who that man was and if he is still running that loc? I can not find anything on the internet. Well, I wish you all the best, Gerard Rorik, retired ships mecanic, Eindhoven, the Netherlands. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.162.178.42 (talk) 20:04, 21 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
