The info added replicates that on http://www.lexden.org.uk, but I wrote that too. Angela 20:51 15 Jun 2003 (UTC)

Link to Domesday book

The link to the Domesday book entry no longer works. Can anything be done about this?

Area defined as Lexden needs clarification and what's this about Spring Lane being a modern bypass?

The Lexden village boundary would be good if anyone knows where it lies.

Also, I am confused by the statement that Lexden is cut in half by the modern bypass, Spring Lane, as Spring Lane is neither modern nor a bypass (though it could be used as one), and very narrow and winding. Would it be correct to assume that Lexden's Spring Lane is, in fact, cut in half by the modern (1930s) Colchester Bypass (aka Cymbeline Way aka Avenue of Remembrance). If so, the 'offending' sentence could be modified. 87.113.62.23 (talk) 20:50, 11 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
