Introduction text

I think it is weird that the introduction mentions her ph.d, but not that she is a professor. Further, it seems to me that her keynote speech is not as important as her scientific discoveries and therefore should not be part of the introduction. It is common for professors and academic staff to speak at international conferences and therefore it seems weird to mention it as a special thing. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Blaubaer99 (talkcontribs) 17:18, 7 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

I agree! I've updated the first sentence to reflect her current academic position. ProboscideaRubber15 (talk) 03:08, 8 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

"In 1999, she led a team from Harvard University"! Is this right? I believe she was at the Rowland Institute at that time - fnielsen 00:16, 5 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

How could she get a postdoc two years before she got her doctorate? Is this right? 211.225.32.200 05:38, 12 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fnielsen - she was at Rowland, and switched to Harvard in 1999. This article needs serious cleanup

It has infelicitous phrases like "one of the few scientists capable of making Bose Einstein condensate," which is ridiculous. (You can pick up superconducting tape that works in liquid nitrogen for next to nothing, and liquid helium condensate isn't that hard to make.

Poor English

"As well as her own experiments and research, she is often invited to speak at international conferences,..." makes little sense. Is "As well as performing her own experiments and research, she often speaks at international conferences,..." meant? If so, it's hardly worth saying. 109.158.48.43 (talk) 06:46, 29 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
