POV

The following sentences sound POV:

Experience has shown how valuable and wise this course was. The resolutions of the Lambeth Conferences have never been regarded as synodical decrees, but their weight has increased with each conference. Apprehensions such as those which possessed the mind of Dean Stanley have long passed away. (fifth paragraph)

Newer conferences

Does no one have information about the newer conferences? I know that at the last one there was some pretty hot debate about homosexuality, resulting in a compromise that left no one really happy. --Angr/comhrá 21:33, 14 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Well indeed yes, but preparing it takes time and knowledge. My detail knowledge gets very thin after the 1930 Conference because of the parameters of my research project. David (talk) 17:58, 9 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

WikiProject Anglicanism

A new WikiProject focussing on Anglicanism and the Anglican Communion has just been initiated: WikiProject Anglicanism. Our goal is to improve and expand Anglican-reltaed articles. If anyone (Anglican or non-Anglican) is interested, read over the project page and consider signing up. Cheers! Fishhead64 06:40, 12 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Revert

Feel free to provide context for the "exorcism" incident that you feel is meaningful, or other incidents. It's better sourced than anything else in the section. –Roscelese (talkcontribs) 00:09, 22 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Dean Stanley

Concerning the first Conference, the article quotes Dean Stanley's unhappiness about "the presence of prelates not belonging to our church". Who was he referring to? Were Anglicans outside the Church of England considered as "not belonging to our church"? Or were non-Anglicans present? What were the boundaries of "our church" in Stanley's view? Bibliography

There are three sources in the bibliography that may need adjustment. They are the sources edited by Randall Davidson and Cosmo Gordon Lang. The Lang source doesn't actually credit him as an author or editor. I suspect the two Davidson sources don't credit him either. I don't know how to cite a source in the main text if it doesn't have an author, so someone will need to verify that these three books have no credited author and make the needed adjustments.

Lambeth 2022

This article needs to be updated to cover the current conference. m.e. (talk) 09:22, 30 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

"Current conference"? Wikipedia is an encyclopedia for the long-term, not a newspaper for today's 'current' news. See WP:NOTNEWS. Yes, in due course (i.e. in the weeks and months ahead), the section about 2022 conference should be updated about notable items and outcomes, using reliable sources. In due course. But meanwhile, if you want to know what is happening there now (in the "current conference" try trusted news outlets. Feline Hymnic (talk) 15:02, 30 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
