This stub needed some significant help. Some of the "facts" were a bit incorrect, such as the claim that this was Mozart's last opera (a claim that needed qualification, since the sequence was most of "Magic Flute," then all of "Tito," then completion and premiere of "Magic Flute"). Also, the disparaging of "Tito" is sort of old hat; Alfred Einstein was very influential in perpetuating that view, but more recent critics have reassessed the opera and found that it has something worthwhile to say. I added a plot summary with a view to making the entry much more useful. Hope this is found to be of help.--MollyTheCat

Sesto's and Annio's original singers

I have heard different debates on which of these characters was originally sung by the castrato. I have seen Sesto often. On the other hand, I have seen an article that said Sesto was thought to be the castrato and Annio the mezzo for the longest time and that they recently saw that this was mixed up. Is there some way we can just give this author credit? I mean, the background is pretty good, and I wouldn't want to leave a stub on Wikipedia.
