Knobel really had its beginning in the early 1870's when the railroad was being laid. The town was named for the engineer of the project, Gus Knobel. (http://www.geocities.com/knobeltown/index.html) --82.126.135.117 (talk) 10:20, 22 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
