The Kanto plain and the Kanto region are two separate entities. To be more specific, the Kanto plain is smaller than the region itself, which encompasses many prefectures. The Kanto plain is more of a place name, referring to the area around Tokyo, like the article said. I lived in Japan for three years so that's how I inferred this, from advertisements on American Forces Network and such. Mike H 01:30, Jul 16, 2004 (UTC)
