The traditional spelling Calyce is pronounced [KAL-uh-see] per The Dictionary of Classical Mythology (JE Zimmerman, Harper & Row, 1964), so Kalyke should be pronounced [KAL-uh-kee].
- Indeed. In French, the alternate spelling is Calycé, with a hard first C and a soft second c (KAL-ee-say). The Greek pronunciation, with a hard second c, would be KAL-ee-kay.
