in Siwaliks or Mahabharats?

In the Himalayan system, Siwaliks are the outermost, lowest belt of foothills averaging about 600 meters high. The Mahabharats are a higher range behind them, generally over 1,000 meters and sometimes up to 3,000 meters that usually blocks views of the high Himalaya from the Siwalilks. So Kalimpong seems to me to be too far north and too high to be in the Siwaliks. Would it be more accurate to say this town is in the Mahabharat range? I would consider Darjeeling to be in the Mahabharats and it looks like Kalimpong is in the same range. --LADave (talk) 14:37, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
