I thought the town was named after (or at least renamed in honor of) LBJ himself. millerc 05:32, 30 Aug 2004 (UTC)
No I was wrong, according to the town's official website it was named after James Polk Johnson a nephew of LBJ's grandfather, although the Johnson ranch which preceeded the founding of the town was named for LBJ's grandfather. millerc 05:41, 30 Aug 2004 (UTC)
