Koestler's Kepler in History of Science subsection
I am surprised to see no reference to Arthur Koestler's "The Sleepwalkers" in the 'History of science' subsection of this article, but only in the 'Cultural influence and eponymy' subsection further down. Koestler made Kepler the central figure of his entire work, as the archetypal confluence of induction and reduction in the European Renaissance. For Koestler, in Kepler one sees an operator acting under the influence of both logical positivism and mystic inspiration, attributing them both with equal importance in his work. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.187.204.235 (talk) 09:05, 12 March 2023 (UTC)
Kepler's equation
Kepler's equation should be mentioned in the text of the article. ReyHahn (talk) 10:36, 7 November 2024 (UTC)
Sainthood?
This article is in the Anglican saints category. Why? Was Kepler an Anglican saint? I can't spot a reference to this in the article text, or on a cursory Google. Catfishing (wiki guessing game) (talk) 15:37, 28 November 2024 (UTC)
- He does have a feast day. But the "saint" is probably a fossil of this William M. Connolley (talk) 16:07, 28 November 2024 (UTC)
- Ah! Thanks for quick reply. Have proposed an edit to drop the category. Feast day != sainthood. Catfishing (wiki guessing game) (talk) 16:30, 28 November 2024 (UTC)
Fate of father
Template:Tq -- Has that turned out to be wrong, or why are we using past tense? If this was a belief expressed by his contemporaries, I think that should be clarified, too. Renerpho (talk) 12:44, 26 May 2025 (UTC)
