Schaffer the Darklord

Should we mention the song "My Dinner With Jello" by nerdcore rapper Schaffer the Darklord?

Oxymoron

Given that Jello (what in the UK would be called jelly) is an effete dessert food, typically eaten at children's parties; and Biafra, which owing to its being blockaded by Nigeria became in the 1970s almost a by-word for starvation: might not Jello Biafra be in effect an oxymoron? Uniting two mutually opposite values (abundance and famine) into a single, absurd but at the same time poetic protest. Nuttyskin (talk) 12:37, 16 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Wait: it seems you know it's a reference to Radio Biafra? 99.100.177.165 (talk) 06:36, 21 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

Any questions? 99.100.177.165 (talk) 06:40, 21 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
The juxtaposition was deliberate I think. Punk rock and all that. MaxBrowne2 (talk) 10:17, 21 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

Collaborations

Jello appears as George W Bush throughout the Cage song “Grand Ol Party Crash” in the album Hell’s Winter 2601:195:C501:D2A0:7089:C162:3353:C2A0 (talk) 06:19, 27 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Collaborations vs "Guest Appearances"

Not sure if there's a sharp distinction or if it's a scale, but somehow stuff like Last Scream... or Sieg Howdy! feels different from him being on a single album track, like "Biotech is Godzilla" or "The Hate is Real". Do we want to try and make that distinction? If so, how? Full albums vs single tracks? SQB (talk) 14:13, 17 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
