Midway
James Whitmore is listed as playing Admiral Halsey in the Midway movie. The role was actually played by Robert Mitchum —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.158.197.2 (talk) 20:34, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
- I didn't make the change, but this has apparently been corrected. --68.188.183.91 (talk) 02:54, 9 June 2015 (UTC)
Jr.
He is James Jr. so his son is James III etc.
"Bully" disambiguation
This page contains a link to "Bully", a disambiguation page. I'm not sure which definition it should link to, however. I don't believe there's already a wikipedia page about a play named "Bully", which I think is what the article is referring to. Can somebody fix it please? Maybe add a stub page about the play (which I know nothing about) and add its definition to the Bully (disambiguation) page? --Merkuri 22:43, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
Refimprove tag on Career section
I tagged the Career section because there are numerous entries with no citation. Is there a Whitmore fan who can spend a few minutes and improve it?TjoeC (talk) 03:32, 5 December 2011 (UTC)
Cause of Death appears to be incorrect
According to the L.A. Times, cause of death was Lung Cancer -- not Alzheimer's nor a car crash. Here is the link: http://www.latimes.com/local/obituaries/la-me-james-whitmore7-2009feb07-story.html#page=1
