As I remember it, the term was introduced a few years ago, to distinguish companies that merely provided bandwidth from those added value (a la AOL). But the distinction didn't last long and now the term IAP is rarely used. A redirect might be the best way to go, but it could do with a proper mention in the internet service provider article. sjorford mmmmm 19:34, 21 November 2005 (UTC)Reply
