Imagine a cross-over of Alien and Scooby-Doo, and you've just about got it right. -- Karada 10:03, 12 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Not Psychosis

I disagree that Sandy was suffering from psychosis. There was no evidence that she was having delusions, hallucinations, etc.

She was likely being controlled by the alien creature biologically, like some actual parasites are capable of. See: behavior-altering parasite.

I am not sure how to rewrite the sentence that said she developed psychosis. Pantstrovich (talk) 10:14, 21 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

There was a scene in which she appeared to have a dream involving the doctor giving her an injection, which he hadn't yet, but the movie was unclear about what exactly caused that.
I still think that it was alien mind control, either way, and that "psychosis" is a real mental health concern, that can't really be applied to a vague sci-fi horror, video nasty. Parasitic behaviour is much more likely in a movie like this. Pantstrovich (talk) 10:32, 21 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
