I just wanted to inform you that you have the meanings mixed up.Innate behaviour…

  • is not attained by learning
  • present at birth, though usually

expressed only under specific circumstances

  • often made up of a stereotyped

sequence of actions (Fixed Action Patterns, FAPs) While Learned Behaviour is: the acquisition of new behavioural sequences learning has occurred if the probability of occurrence of certain behavioural patterns in specific stimulus situations has been changed as a direct consequence of encounters with this or similar stimulus situations.

Redirect spelling

If "behaviour" redirects to "behavior," shouldn't "Innate behaviour" redirect to "Innate behavior" and not the other way around? Not to mention the fact that the article uses the American spelling throughout. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Chachob (talkcontribs) 00:46, 21 March 2007 (UTC).Reply
