MOS:INFOBOXPURPOSE and WP:CATV

Per MOS:INFOBOXPURPOSE and WP:CATV, elements in the infobox and categories should be described and verified by sources in the article body. This is not true for Social democracy under the ideology section of the infobox or the social democratic party category. I also noticed that Economic liberalism was commented out by an editor with the comment "on hold", but there is no active, relevant discussion on this talk page. Congress is not economically Liberal Party, Yes The last Prime Minister from congress was A Pro Market Liberal Politician but the latest attacks by the Leader in Lok Sabha has consistently Challenged the views of the previous Congress government and also criticized the policies of the Previous Government after admitting those were wrong, Though it is hard to pinpoint any particular ideology for an old consistently evolving political party like congress. we should either choose their latest ideological bent or the ideology they have pursued for most of the time in both the cases Economic Liberalism is not a good fit rather we should describe Congress as Social democracy or State led Capitalist party Prem8660 (talk) 20:13, 14 April 2025 (UTC)Reply
The inclusion of economic liberalism in the infobox is not what I'm talking about. Also, you don't have to repeat yourself. Yue🌙 04:37, 15 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

Wrong number of Lok Sabha seats mentioned in the infobox

Congress has 99 seats in the Lok Sabha. The mentioned number is 101. Fix this. 103.255.106.71 (talk) 15:35, 7 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

Indian National Congress is alligned to Centre-Left to Left Ideology

Clearly The INC is alligned to Centre-Left to Left ideology. They are completely opposed to the Right wing Ideology of the Bhartiya Janta Party and the RSS. In addition to that, they are allied, and are the leading party of, The INDI Alliance which include left wing parties like The CPI, The AAP, The Samajwadi Party, The DMK, The RJD, The TMC, CPI (Marxist), CPI (Marxist Lenninist) Liberation, The RSP etc. What NCERT says is based upon 2005-2006 data. The current situation clearly alligns the INC to Left wing.

Proposal: INC's political ideology must clearly be mentioned as Centre-Left to Left instead of Centre. BhartiyaJana (talk) 11:42, 8 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
