Should "Spruce Goose" properly be italicized?
For most of this article's history, it wasn't. Then, in 2017, it was. [1] Given that it's a pejorative nickname and not an official name of the aircraft, is the italicization appropriate? The online resources I've found seem unauthoritative, such as a website for elementary schoolteachers, which may not have appreciated the issue. Contemporary scholarship that italicizes the name, I have also not been able to locate. My vote, at this point, would be to revert to quotation marks for the nickname. - I agree. It is at best a nickname and should in quotes, not italicized. - Ahunt (talk) 13:47, 28 April 2023 (UTC)
