Non-foliated

Isn't hornfels non-foliated? In the picture it looks like it is foliated... -- Annonymus User 1000 (talk) 10:50, 9 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hornfels are unlikely to be foliated, but what we're seeing in the image is primary lithological banding - the pale layers were sandstones and the dark layers shales. I've expanded the description of the image - I hope that helps. Mikenorton (talk) 12:16, 9 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
