Hitachi espionage.

Hi, I was wondering if information on Hitachi espionage on IBM could be included within the article? In the early 1980s, the FBI arrested several Hitachi executives in a sting operation and all plead guilty. IBM also won a civil case against Hitachi and was allowed to inspect Hitachi products for a 5 year period to detect design infringements.

Here are some sources on this:

Overview Page Currently Doesn’t Have an Objective Tone

The first few sentences of the Overview section read like marketing statements for Hitachi. It does not have the objective tone that is typical and expected of most Wikipedia articles. Bortorini (talk) 18:23, 3 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

GlobalLogic Request

Template:Edit COI/partial Hello editors, I'm making this post as part of my work for Beutler Ink, on behalf of GlobalLogic. Because I have a COI, I'm requesting that editors review and implement appropriate changes on my behalf. Since the GlobalLogic article was redirected here, I'd like to suggest an expansion to the GlobalLogic section of the article. I've prepared a draft below:

Extended content

Template:Text diff The rendered version looks like this:

GlobalLogic is a digital services subsidiary of Hitachi based in the United States. Originally founded in India in 2000, the company was acquired by Hitachi in 2021 for US$9.6 billion,[1] which was Hitachi's most expensive acquisition at the time.[2] The acquisition is intended to bridge various operational technology and industrial products that Hitachi offers by strengthening the group's software development capability as part of the broader Lumada strategy.[3] GlobalLogic's CEO is Srinivas Shankar. The company provides outsourced product development and IT services to clients for software and hardware.[4][5] The company has worked with Google Cloud on video game production tools using generative AI,[6] and developed Hitachi's AI platform designed for enterprise applications.[7]

My goal is to add more context that briefly explains what GlobalLogic does, and how it relates to Hitachi beyond the current description, while keeping the section an appropriate length for the article overall. Feedback is welcome. Cheers, BINK Robin (talk) 18:35, 18 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

Template:Respond Given the length of the page as is, I added the parts that felt particularly relevant. Likeanechointheforest (talk) 12:30, 19 April 2025 (UTC)Reply
