Is several a weasel word.

In the lead saying several historians seems like a weasel word. This seems to be a rather small area of expertise, can't you come up with a number instead of several? Klehr, Haynes, and Weinstein could be considered historians who have written about the subject and 2 of them from the article name Magdoff; who else should be counted? Now clearly a lot of argumentative editors have worked on this article, if it's gonna degenerate into a big never-ending brouhaha please forget about it.
