The history copy I edited, mentioned implied that this franchise existed somewhere else before it moved to here in 1989. All teams in the ECHL from the previous season are accounted for assuming the Carolina Thunderbirds were renamed the Winston-Salem Thunderbirds. ccwaters 11:31, 2 September 2005 (UTC)
- The Admirals were an expansion team that began playing in 1989. So, it was the second year of the ECHL, but not the franchise. BTW, thanks for you edits, the article's looking good. Uvaduck 02:00, 3 September 2005 (UTC)
