Clarksville, VA in Halifax County?
I was reading the edit history of the Clarksville and Mecklenburg articles and noticed an editor added Clarksville to Halifax County. I do remember seeing an official map of Mecklenburg County where Halifax County's border went roughly mid-channel to a point downstream of the US-15/US-49/(now)US-58 Bus bridge across the Kerr Reservoir, but that was before Clarksville annexed the area from the southern shore of the lake to what is now Uppy's service station on the northern shore. How does that work regarding town and country boundaries? Are county boundaries grandfather or do they take precedence over county boundaries? --Coviepresb1647 (talk) 02:13, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
