Tourism main source of commerce?
The last paragraph of the "History" section seems to dismiss fishing and logging as sources of commerce (granted, logging in Haines hasn't been steady for decades), but then leaves the reader with tourism as the only remaining alternative. Combined, these points clearly implicate tourism as the only source of commerce in Haines. Can anyone offer some up-to-date data here? Chrishibbard7 (talk) 20:25, 3 February 2010 (UTC)

"One of only three cities in southeast Alaska which are inaccessible by road to another city"
Template:Tq I don't think this is correct; Ketchikan is on Revillagigedo Island which has no bridges and is not accessible by road from elsewhere, either. ☆ Bri (talk) 22:05, 22 April 2025 (UTC)
- I seem to recall it wasn't so clunky and may have been edited to make it so. Haines, Hyder and Skagway are the three communities which are directly connected to the contiguous North American road network. Other communities make connections from their local road networks via AMHS. RadioKAOS / Talk to me, Billy / Transmissions 22:04, 24 April 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks. It was apparently done by anon vandal who has been reverted now. ☆ Bri (talk) 00:57, 25 April 2025 (UTC)
