Battle Honors?
How can this ship have battle honours, when she was laid down in 2009?
Honours and awards Dardanelles 1915-16 Crete 1941 Sabang 1944 Burma 1944-45 2003:C9:7703:CE00:248A:B88C:CB8B:8509 (talk) 07:54, 25 May 2023 (UTC)
- Because in the Royal Navy, battle honours awarded to a ship are inherited by all subsequent warships of the same name. BilCat (talk) 08:38, 25 May 2023 (UTC)
- I was just about to correct this but I found this discussion first. Maybe there should be an inline comment? ☆ Bri (talk) 18:08, 25 September 2024 (UTC)
type: Supercarrier?
I don't think she should have type: supercarrier listing right under class and type, as no navy in the world officially uses the term supercarrier to classify their ships according to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aircraft_carrier#Supercarrier, while the Royal Navy sometimes refers to them as such I don't believe it's as a literal classification and more to hype things up around her. Also should be noted that her sister HMS Prince of Wales does not have this listing despite being from the same class. KoP152 (talk) 05:51, 8 March 2024 (UTC)
