Eroge section

Is the Eroge section really necessary? A pornographic spin-off game doesn't seem very relevant to the show itself, especially when there are other non-pornographic GunBuster games not mentioned in the article. It hardly merits its own section, and I feel like it should be removed. Thoughts? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.14.60.70 (talk) 21:40, 28 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Plot summary

I don't think the plot section on the article should disclose the full plot and even ruin the ending (the whole last paragraph). I'm editing out the whole last paragraph. Other people with higher ranking please review/confirm/reject this decision. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Guillep2k (talkcontribs) 22:11, 15 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Time travel?

Does Gunbuster count as a time travel title? There is huge emphasis on time dilation from traveling at lightspeed; for example, the Exelion fleet expedition in 2022 physically lasts for six months, but they return to Earth in 2032. And then, of course, there's Gunbuster's final mission, when its escape from the Black Hole Bomb's explosion causes it to return to Earth 12,000 years later. - Areaseven (talk) 09:23, 5 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

Template:Replyto Time dilation and time travel are related, but they are not the same. Time dilation happens when people in one place have time move more slowly than people in another place. Time dilation is based on Einstein's theory of relativity, where people who move quickly through space, particularly near lightspeed, have time move more slowly for them than for someone who stays on Earth.[1] Conversely, we can move only forward in time, and we cannot go back in time on a large scale. Time travel as people envision it involves the ability of going back in time.[2] Therefore, I believe the time travel category is inaccurate for this series.
