"Great Grimsby Day is 22 January"

"Great Grimsby Day" on 22 January was a fictional day created in 2008 as part of an advertising campaign to sell frozen food. It has persisted on the internet, creating confusion. The only historic Great Grimsby Day is 11 March, the date when King John granted the freemen of Grimsby the royal charter. This needs to be amended to stop further confusion https://grimsbyice.co.uk/grimsbyday.html Seagrin (talk) 20:42, 11 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

That is now the day though wether it was originally part of an ad campagn or not. Is thre any evidence that 11 March was ever called Great Grimsby Day. Maybe change it if/when the campagne succeeds 2A00:23C8:8317:F601:C969:9C1D:E150:BFF (talk) 21:46, 3 January 2025 (UTC)Reply

Governance

Article states that Lia Nici is MP for Grimsby. Since the 2024 General Election, Melanie Onn has been MP for the new constituency of Grimsby and Cleethorpes. This is stated on the page relating to the new constituency Seagrin (talk) 16:52, 7 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
