Question

Is this a cable stayed bridge? It seems to be a Compression arch suspended-deck bridge. --Samuel Wantman 23:29, 24 July 2005 (UTC)Reply

How often does it tilt?

How frequently does the bridge open/tilt? A check online where upcoming tilts are listed suggests none in the near future: https://www.gateshead.gov.uk/article/4592/Gateshead-Millennium-Bridge-tilts It appears they have to be requested seven days in advance: https://www.gateshead.gov.uk/article/4599/Gateshead-Millennium-Bridge-tilt-requests Beorhtwulf (talk) 11:38, 22 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Article name

Should this be Tyne Millennium Bridge, Middlesbrough Transporter Bridge was renamed to Tees Transporter Bridge a while back it does make sense since it is Gateshead and Newcastle. Is it official the name if so won't bother. Chocolateediter (talk) 18:35, 5 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Gateshead Council, who commissioned and part-funded it, call it the Gateshead Millennium Bridge - https://www.gateshead.gov.uk/article/4594/The-Gateshead-Millennium-Bridge 10mmsocket (talk) 20:02, 5 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
Fair enough, suppose it is to differentiate it from nearby Tyne Bride. Chocolateediter (talk) 18:26, 7 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
