Change in Gary's Japanese Name from Katakana to Hiragana.

The correct respresentation of a Japanese name should not be displayed in katakana as it is here represented. Katakana is used for foreign words, titles, and names. Hiragana is used for native ones. Gary's Japanese equivalent Shigeru should be presented in hiragana as: しげる. If anyone could change this that would be great. Thank you. 75.80.39.211 04:53, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

It's perfectly fine to write native names in katakana and katakana are used in all official sources. Reverted.—ウルタプ 05:44, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

First Appearance?!

Gary Oak first appeared in Pokemon Red & Blue, not Pokemon Puzzle League. --Mooshykris 20:44, 11 June 2007 (UTC)

ten badges?

how did gary win ten badges when there are only eight known gyms in the kanto region? plus, whats even more confusing is that he is actually missing two of the eight known badges in kanto (the marsh badge from sabrina in saffron city and the badge from giovanni in viridian city) when he shows ash his badges... that would mean he has a total for FOUR (!??!?!) extra badges than what is known... can someone plz explain? thx - Bassist J-Whitt 22:17, 19 September 2007 (UTC)

Aerodactyl

Gary has a Aerodactyl at his lab, shouldn't it be put under his pokemon?

We don't know if it is still at the lab or not, and it was never formally captured. At best, it would be under "Befriended". MelicansMatkin (talk) 01:12, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

Appearance in first Pokemon Movie
