This is technically incorrect. The "Robots in Disguise" (2001) series was produced in between the Beast Saga (1996-1999) and the Unicron Trilogy (which started in 2002 with Armada), and used Neil Kaplan to voice Optimus Prime, not Gary.

Name misspelling
So you know, he spells his first name "Garry", and has even confirmed it multiple times. Even in a commentary for Beast Wars, he stated that his name was regularly misspelled in the credits; as most people assumed it was the American spellings. I dont have a reliable source, Garry's year of birth is unclear but I've seen YouTube video of him celebrating his 60th birthday last year.
