Talk:Ganges Delta
The Ganges Delta
The definition of a river_delta is a triangular land formation. Is this stricly speaking a river delta, it doesn't look very triangular? Another notation under the entry on river_delta says that rivers which flow into tidal seas form estuaries, this river flows into a tidal sea but to be an estuary there would need to be mixing of salt and fresh water (as I understand it).
I know it is called the Ganges delta but the entry says that it is a delta and I'm not sure if it is. didn't sign in first time... Aach 10:57, 13 September 2006 (UTC)

History section needed
Page lacks a section on the history of the formation of the delta, especially of the shift eastward of rivers, creating vast new areas of arable land in the 1300, 1400, 1500s. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.11.156.10 (talk) 15:30, 10 December 2018 (UTC)
