I think it is quite a good article

Oh yes, there is, and one day, I'll write it, see if I don't. Naturenet | Talk 22:15, 10 August 2005 (UTC)Reply
I notice there is slowly getting to be more and more material about Freshwater. haha...--Filll 00:14, 29 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Proposal to merge West Wight Sports Centre into Freshwater, Isle of Wight

I think it should be maintained as a separtate article as it is an important hub of the community in the area.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Larsseelig69 (talkcontribs)
I don't support the merge. The WWSC has just about enough notability to stand alone, and it would not sit well within the Freshwater article.Naturenet | Talk 23:52, 28 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

I also disagree with the merger proposal.--Filll 19:11, 9 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

I notice this was merged, contrary to community consensus. I think it should be made a separate article again. Frankly, it is disruptive in this present article.--Filll 15:11, 24 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

how big is the Fat Cat in terms of local sites of interest?

I am referring to the new addition:

  • The Fat Cat Local bar and restaurant.

This seems somewhat suspect to me. I am therefore removing it for time being until someone can come up with a good reason why it belongs with the other major sites of interest. --Filll 01:42, 16 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Tennyson Monument

According to the O/S map i have, Tennyson's monument is actually on Tennyson Down. West High Down is the hill immediately to the west of Tennyson Down. Mind if i change it in the article? Debnigo 22:25, 11 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

River Yar

Surely this article is wrong in saying that the Yar "empties into Freshwater Bay"? It rises directly behind the Bay and flows northwards into the Solent at Yarmouth. (Yar.... mouth.... Yarmouth!) 143.252.80.100 (talk) 17:11, 20 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Yes, I've changed the sentence, it may need further tidying Agingjb (talk) 09:01, 21 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Drawing of the arch

Might be of use if the article gets a bit bigger:
