Accuracy?

I have found many history sites that talk about Franklin C. Mars and have large discrepencies. He grew up in Minnesota for instance, and unless the grave stone I have personally have seen in Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis is wrong, he is not buried in Chicago. I think there are probably some other errors as well.

Any thoughts on this?

Hello (three years later). The Minnesota State Legislature keeps a list of famous Minnesotans, and their source, The Historical Society of Oak Park and River Forest has been added in part to the article just now. Sorry it is a bit of a mess to sort the cited from uncited sentences so I hope somebody else knows about this. The legislature also has a Harvard Business School link for Forrest Mars in case someone else has time. -SusanLesch (talk) 23:42, 6 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
I do know that they did own a place in Pulaski, TN. but the Mars.com Site fails to mention all of this. 72.148.31.114 (talk) 08:33, 29 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Mars died in 1934, not 1935 as stated. I have changed it throughout the article and added a reference (his obituary in the Montgomery Advertiser).--Songofachilles (talk) 22:46, 18 March 2025 (UTC)Reply

A Lesson in Failure: The Rise of the Mars Candy Company

I found https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WJJ4ORIGFXA A Lesson in Failure: The Rise of the Mars Candy Company-it's not citable, but it provides some interesting color to the story.--Kintetsubuffalo (talk) 06:45, 22 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
