Archaeology work near Fort Mackinac

In May, 2002 a survey and excavation was conducted by the Heidelberg College Center for Military History, assisited by volunteers from the Toledo Area Aboriginal Research Society (TAARS), on a golf course that is on the site of a battle between the British and Americans. Some of the artifacts recovered were buttons, a rusted pocket knife, eating utensils, an 1807 U.S. penny, and many musket balls of various calibres. Professional advisor was G.
