"The dance-oriented song showcased the rhythm section of Mani on bass and Reni on percussion" How so? The bassline played by Mani isn't duplicating John Squire's guitar part, which is a common misconception — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.149.218.5 (talk) 18:14, 8 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Unusual time signature

I'd like to include Fools Gold in List of musical works in unusual time signatures as the drumbeat repeats in an odd pattern. Unfortunately my music theory isn't as good as it used to be and I lack the ability to say what that pattern is. Any ideas? Georgethe23rd (talk) 08:18, 16 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Although the drum loops' repetition is somewhat unusual it's still all in straight 4/4, so unfortunately it wouldn't qualify for that article. ;-) -- Hux (talk) 06:03, 17 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hot pants!

When the record came out I assumed TSR had simply sampled Bobby Byrd's "Hot Pants". This was a familiar breakbeat used on many late 80s hip hop records, and as we now know that IB in particular was a bit of a hip hop fiend at the time, I think the drum track is probably inspired by something like Big Daddy Kane's 1987 track "Raw" rather than the Bobby Byrd original. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.102.37.34 (talk) 09:09, 23 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Madchester

Madchester was never a genre.
