EU Flag

Are there any reasons for the striking resemblance of the Cape Verde Flag to the EU Flag? Seeing as Cape Verde would like a place in the EU this is possible (see the flag of Bosnia and Herzegovina), but I am unsure as if this notion of joining the EU was before or after the adoption of the flag. Perhaps the Cape Verde flag is mearly aping the EU Flag just as many other contries copy elements of other countries flags. Does anyone know anything about this?

Change of flag

What was the reason for the change of flag in 1992? Is the old flag still seen anywhere or used by any section of the community? Beorhtwulf (talk) 09:32, 9 December 2019 (UTC)
