It has been around at least 16-18 years (when credit cards and country clubs started appearing) and the phase is still widely used today. It is used not only in jokes, but also to refer to the competitiveness in society, personal ambitions, etc. --Vsion 04:44, 24 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
