Spain and Catalonia
Hi there, I've made a small edit to remove a couple of superfluous references to Spain which gave a bit of a weird character to an otherwise very informative article. The reason is that the status of Catalonia in Spain is a matter of much debate and conflict, and the FGC being a sort of a Catalan national symbol, calling it a Spanish railway, in spite of being technically correct, is bound to offend Catalan sensibilities.--81.42.165.220 11:54, 29 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- I don't think that this should matter at all. We are not here to worry about the "sensibilities" of some nationalists or separatists. It is a railway. It is in Catalonia. And Catalonia has been a part of Aragon, a constituent realm of the Spanish Kingdom, for 900 years. So until the minority becomes the majority and independence is gained, it is Spanish as well. End of discussion.

Broad-gauge (Lleida - La Pobla de Segur)
This section needs a thorough rewrite from someone with the latest gen. The line has been closed for the best part of a year between Balaguer and La Pobla to allow for a complete re-laying, and is due to open again throughout on 4 June 2006 using refurbished DMUs.

Photo of Brill Interurban
The post has a photo of one of the FGC's older Brill interurban cars, specifically number 18, and the caption claims that some of these cars were sold to the Hershey Railway in Cuba. While some FGC carriages from the Valles line were sold to Cuba, specifically the 400,500,and 600 series cars, none of the cars in 18's series were, and so the photo should either be replaced with one of the correct type of rolling stock or the caption changed. 71.34.31.41 (talk) 04:10, 9 October 2023 (UTC)
