Attendances
I had previously moved the table of attendance figures to "FIFA World Cup records and statistics". It had then been readded here by Josh0108 (alt), and now I moved it again.
In a general article like this one, information should be added either if it is a defining characteristic of the subject or if it is statistically significant in some way. While this is neither: every tournament has to have a total and an average attendance and one or more most attended games. Also the size and detail of that table is quite disproportionate to the overall scope of the article. --Theurgist (talk) 03:56, 4 January 2025 (UTC)
Medals in World Cup
According to one Swedish article not only Koreans received medals for 4th place in 2002, but also other teams in previous years. Swedes found out in 2020 (!) that in 1994 4th Bulgaria also received bronze medal, but not on a pitch but on the stands. FIFA spokesman from Sweden Hans Hultman confirmed that not only in 1994, but also in 1986 and 1990 4th teams received bronze, but previously (since when?) there were: 1. gold, 2. great silver, 3. small silver, 4. bronze (identical has Swedish league). [1] Could anyone find another independent confirmaton of results from 1990 and earlier? Kamilhrub (talk) 10:15, 16 April 2025 (UTC)
