Martha

I presume the 'Martha' referred to in the song isn't the biblical figure the article currently links to. I don't know who it does refer to though so I haven't changed it. Thryduulf 01:18, 27 December 2005 (UTC)

Needs citations

I would like to have citations for the following information contained in the article:

1. the original fine for saying "fuck" on the radio -- this article could use more information about the event, but it certainly wants a citation
2. the quote "...it's dedicated to the FCC and if they broadcast it, it will cost a quarter of a million dollars" and the calculation
3. the "numerous anti-Bush websites" linking to or mirroring the song: obviously not a full list, but maybe cite 3 or 4 prominent sites doing so, or cite an article in the news mentioning the phenomenon
4. the statement about "I Bet You They Won't Play This Song On The Radio" that "many programmers did indeed play that song on the radio": again, not a list of every station that has played the song, but a reference for this statement

Family Guy

Family Guy also has a pretty popular, unrelated song about the FCC in the episode PTV. I believe it's better known since one can see it on television, whereas Eric Idle's FCC Song is less accessible to the general public. Should this be noted? - furrykef (Talk at me) 17:50, 18 April 2006 (UTC)

FCC pun?

So is it coincidence or intended that the FCC song is centered on the word 'fuck', which sounds like FCC pronounced as an actual word instead of an acronym. Correct Title?

Is it officially called "FCC Song" OR "Fuck the FCC"? Both Allmusic and Amazon list it as the latter. Should the page title be changed? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kane2742 (talk • contribs)

I don't know. I think the former is more widely understood and therefore suitable under WP:UCN. But by all means create a redirect from Fuck the FCC. Powers ^T 13:16, 27 June 2009 (UTC)
