Wondering how to edit this U.S. County Entry?
The WikiProject U.S. Counties standards might help.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Ram-Man (talk • contribs) 18:32, 1 October 2002 (UTC)

Hello, there is an article here, http://www.encyclopediaofalabama.org/face/Article.jsp?id=h-1323, that might be useful. Thanks, Justin --Duboiju (talk) 17:50, 16 April 2009 (UTC)
under new management?
- On December 1, 1868 the county was abolished and Etowah County was created from the same territory.
Did Alabama's constitution forbid simply renaming it? Or was there some advantage (partisan or otherwise) in cutting off the continuity of county institutions? For example, perhaps some irritant couldn't otherwise be removed as an officer of Baine County. —Tamfang (talk) 07:53, 17 January 2014 (UTC)
