Replaced?

It claims this material has been replaced by modern alloys. I don't think so. For example, a French Oven still fetches $190 on Amazon [1]. —BenFrantzDale 03:57, 13 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

The only thing it's used for now is Dutch Ovens

Enameled cast iron used be used for every type of cookware. Now it's only used for Dutch oven/casserole type pots and even then, is now more of a luxury type item than a common piece of cookware. I'll change the description to say: "has been largely replaced" instead of "replaced".
