Harkness founded a sort of reverse version of the Rhodes Scholarship, where citizens of Britain and its Commonwealth were awarded fellowships to prestigious American universities. Alistair Cooke was a recipient; so was Harrison Birtwistle.
But I can't remember what the darn thing was called...

Hampton University
Hampton University has a dormitory named after Harkness. I don't get why there isn't a section on the main article about this.
