Expanding on Northern Uganda section

Education has been impacted the most in conflict affected areas like Northern Uganda. Specifically, lingering consequences of years of conflict have impacted social structures within education systems. Therefore, it is important for education systems to adopt gender sensitive approaches that address the many challenges faced by conflict affected regions. There are different barriers faced by girls from years of conflict that impact both their access to education and factors once they are in school where they need to be more supported.
