Talk:Edition (printmaking)

Some day, it may be a good idea to have a wikipedia section where changes in different editions of text book are highlighted. This would serve two uses:
- It would increase the value of old editions of the books since one can easily judge whether the changes in a text book edition are worth investing in a new text edition.
- It would discourage publishers from releasing text book editions that only incorporate cosmetic changes. This would work as such a move would easily backfire when the first point reach maturity.
- perhaps, but not here as this all about printmaking Johnbod 17:01, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
- perhaps this article should be called edition (printmaking) or something to make the sunbject clearer. Johnbod 05:14, 4 November 2006 (UTC)

I came here wondering about limited edition photographs, which also exist. The part about plates wearing out doesn't apply, though. Gah4 (talk) 03:43, 10 December 2019 (UTC)
