Pronunciation
I've heard some people call this town Ed-in-berg, instead of pronouncing it /ˈɛdɪnbrə/. But I've never been there so I don't know if that's universal or if I'm just hearing ignorant people. If that (mis)pronunciation is universal it would be worth noting. Nick 13:50, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
I'm from Ed-in-burg, and this is the way that everyone in town pronounces it. Jennifer, Nov 16, 2007.
I'm originally from nearby Columbus, and back in 1965, teenagers pronounced it Ed-in-burg. (Blame it on the often non-phonetic spelling of the English language -- and local phonetic pronunciation.) ~ Peter Nau Preceding unsigned comment added by EdwardEditor (talk • contribs) 00:37, 22 May 2011 (UTC)
