Index of Economic Freedom: How is computed/sourced the EU value?
For the Index of Economic Freedom, how is computed/sourced the EU value? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.193.104.122 (talk) 03:31, 18 February 2021 (UTC)
"Economic freedom"?
Why is a Heritage Foundation notion listed here as if it were just another fact? KetchupSalt (talk) 15:36, 4 December 2021 (UTC)

Export of the EU - which data to use?
The current export figure on the wikipedia page of the economy of the European union states $8.705 Billions dollars worth of export. This figure includes intra-EU exports of (France to Germany for example) and extra-EU exports (EU member states exports towards none EU member states) cf:https://www.statista.com/statistics/1384673/eu-international-trade-intra-extra-exports-goods/
I feel like it would be better to only include extra-EU export numbers for this figure, as intra-EU export figures inflates the value if you want to compare the EU to another country such as china or the USA. For example, you don't count export from California to Texas and vice versa to count the export of the USA.
In that case, the export of the EU would become €2.56 Billion for 2023, or around $2.8 billion. 2A01:E0A:32E:BF80:957C:D572:FDFB:3C87 (talk) 19:04, 2 July 2024 (UTC)
- I agree. Exports and imports now are only extra-EU. Everlasting 0 (talk) 21:18, 27 February 2025 (UTC)
GDP
The units of the chart are stated as "EU member states by GDP (nominal) in millions of €". Should it be billions, not millions?
Currently, the chart is showing the German GDP in 2023 as being €4,000 million (€4 billion), and the entire EU GDP being €17,000 million (€17 billion). Ermendrud (talk) 09:59, 21 November 2024 (UTC)
- Indeed, it should be billions. It's now fixed. Everlasting 0 (talk) 12:26, 14 February 2025 (UTC)
